Trevor is a ceramicist with over 20 years experience based in Bath. He makes hand thrown stoneware. The work is in three distinct ranges, two of which are shown here - electric fired decorative ware and electric fired tableware.
The functional work is thrown stoneware fired to 1240°C (cone 8) in an electric kiln at the studio, which results in reliable and consistent finish well suited to domestic tableware.
The range of decorative ware which includes tall vases is thrown stoneware fired to 1240°C (cone 8) in an electric kiln using a combination of oxides and volcanic glazes to achieve finishes inspired by the colours and textures of the natural landscape.
The interaction of glaze and oxide results in an unique finish to each piece, ranging from muted pinks through to more intense browns and greens, contrasting with the smooth inner surfaces.
