A figurative landscape in the 20th century English tradition depicting a view of the Welsh hills south of LLyn Tegid (Lake Bala).
Weak sunshine illuminates the rolling hills in the middle distance beyond spring grasses rustling in the wind. The technique is immediate and impressionistic and attempts to convey a sense of changing light of a Welsh summer day which could alternate between sunshine and rain in a few moments.
