Magdalena Gazur, 27, lives in Poland. She first studied ceramics at the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Art in Poland before coming to the University of Wolverhampton to extend her studies. She is proficient in throwing, handbuilding, glaze technology, painting and drawing. Having now added graphic communications and English to her skills, she says, “The inspiration for my works is embedded in my home-landscape. Country traditional churches, a charming cottage enclosed by a fence, obscured by fields and woods. I am looking for new means of expressing these emotions. My aim is to portray my attachment, affectionate and passion for the place of my origin. Furthermore, I have the constant will to convert all experiences to 3D. I am attempting to find an interface between my paintings and ceramic’s sculpture. I am seeking a compromise and solution.”
