Additional Notes

Thrown using a stoneware clay.

For the surfaces I layer slips and glazes, to create a rich and varied effect, and use a combination of dipping, pouring and hakeme to make spontaneous marks which compliment the form.

I mix all the slips and glazes myself, using natural materials, wood and straw ash left over from hedging and thatching, clays dug from local fields, and find that these used with reduction firing to 1280 give me the natural colours of the landscape around me.
