Jeremiah says
"Art is a constant energy allowing me to find new ways to express myself.
I find joy and inspiration in learning new skills and in adopting them to enhance my artistic vocabulary.
I am an artist/designer; art has always been an integral part of my development, from playing with melting wax as a child to juggling and acrobatic stage shows. Art has always fed my development continually providing new areas of exploration.
In 2007 I decided to direct my focus to design, entering the Ceramics 3d Design course at Bath Spa University, this experience opened my mind to the possible uses and combinations of material’s.
My work addresses both the functional and conceptual disciplines, a balance between Art and Design.
Currently my work is made primarily with porcelain, making use of its translucent qualities, integrating this with a strong presence of mixed media to create a range of objects pleasing to the senses with elements of discovery.
These objects are derived from my imagination and exploration into our relationship with nature.
This is visualised in the form of carved wood, plastics salvaged predominantly from discarded toys, metal and textiles.
The objects are made with hand thrown and sculpted parts manipulating all into forms representing our co-dependency of our planet."
