Martin is one of Britain’s leading glassmakers. His work is known for its high quality, attention to fine detail, innovative surface treatments and design ideas.
Each piece is designed, handmade and signed by Martin using the finest Crystal glass. As each item is made individually no two items are ever identical.
His inspiration comes from the natural world, particularly water and organic sea forms. Using the qualities that the molten glass holds and its many transitional states of fluidity, transparency or opacity, Martin attempts to capture a moment in time.
He has worked on commissions for hotels and offices, architectural projects, film and television companies, corporate awards and restoration work.

Additional NotesThe Magma Collection draws inspiration from the Stone Collection, with its tactile and contrasting qualities. These forms have a special ‘crackled quality’ given to the surface, adding more texture as the surface is allowed to break up under stress and re-melted during the making process. This enables the inner blue colour of the form to project and shine through the outer surface of the glass. One of the most challenging of Martin’s designs to produce.
