A Kandinsky exhibition in London provoked Steve into art. He reacted, as many people do when they see abstract art - 'I could do that'. He became a big fan of the semi abstract style of artists such as David Hockney, Roy Lichtenstein, Fernand Leger, Tom Wesselmann and Bob Kessel.
After ten years perfecting his art Steve stumbled across Reflexionism on a sailing holiday in Croatia. Reflections of boats and yachts became his 'thing' and he has held successful exhibitions of his reflection work in England. Since moving to Holland he has also held exhibitions of his canal reflection studies in galleries in Amsterdam.
Steve says his art has no hidden meanings: 'It is about decoration pure and simple. It is about brightening up people's walls. This is what it is all about.'
New work by Steve White will be in the gallery and on the website shortly.
