Valerie is a well-known artist of flora and faun, an enthusiastic teacher she holds small and friendly classes upstairs at the Bevere Gallery, Worcester.
There is a maximum of six students of all ages attending with a minimum age 18 years. These courses are designed to help the keen but hesitant student to get started with the basics of watercolour and drawing and also for those who have some knowledge of the basics and would like to improve their skills. During classes Valerie will teach you her techniques in the medium and subject of your choice, animal, vegetable or mineral. Valerie always supplies spare materials and reference material, but will provide a detail list of drawing/painting materials upon request. Classes run from 10am – 4pm and cost £40 per day (including lunch) with a 10% discount for 4 or more classes booked. Liquid refreshments are provided and we break for a light lunch in the Gallery Café. Special dates are negotiable for private group bookings (£36 per head including lunch - maximum of 6 Students). Full prepayment is not required, however a deposit of 20% per course should be sent with your booking form please. This payment will reserve your place for you and is not refundable. The balance is payable on the day. A receipt and travel directions will be sent to you by return of post.
If a class has to be cancelled due to it being under subscribed or the tutor is ill (or you yourself become ill) you will be offered an alternative date. Please note these courses are currently not suitable for disabled people as they are held upstairs.
