Amy Hill, from Trentham, graduated from the BA (Hons) 3D Designer Maker course. She scooped the Valentine Clays award at the University’s annual art and design degree show.
Amy, whose love of ceramics has seen her progress on to the University’s MA Ceramic Design course, took her work to New Designers. The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair resulted in further requests for her to exhibit her work in Worcester and Surrey.
Amy Hill has said that when she began the 3D course, she chose it because the scope was so broad. She would also get to work with a wide range of materials. She had never used clay – apart from in primary school – . However, since she began working with it, she has not touched anything else.
