EMMA WESTMACOTT

EMMA WESTMACOTT

Emma’s work is inspired by mid-century modern aesthetics and Scandinavian design.
Asymmetric form, colour and pattern develop through collage and drawing. The influence of vintage textiles, household objects and materials combine to help her create pieces that evolve through experimentation.
She is currently working in heavy brick clays and terracotta to create semi-functional sculptural vessels. She uses modular wooden moulds inspired by architectural concrete formwork surfaces and has also started experimenting with clay from her own back garden.
