Guy has worked in Ceramics for the last 20 years after studying glass and ceramics at Sunderland University. His first studio was in Auckland, New Zealand from 1989 to 1991. He then worked for a year as a site artist and designer on the New Zealand Pavilion in Seville, Spain during Expo 92. On returning to England in 1993, he developed his studio ceramics, supplying many galleries throughout the UK
and overseas.
His work consists of various brightly coloured vessels, bottles and a wide range of sculptural figurative ceramics, based loosely around the ‘head’ and ‘face’. These pieces are predominantly monochrome. All of his work is hand-built, giving each piece a unique character and presence.
