Harry Brockway

Harry was born in South Wales in 1958. He studied Fine Art (Sculpture) at Kingston Polytechnic and, as a post-graduate, at The Royal Academy Schools where he completed his first wood engravings. Harry went on to train as a stone mason at Weymouth College.

He began working at Wells Cathedral Stone Masons and has been a self-employed stone carver, letter cutter and wood engraver since 1989. Most of his wood engravings are illustrations. He has previously worked for The Folio Society, Penguin Books, Faber & Faber and The Royal Mint. Today, he is a member of The Society of Wood Engravers and The Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers. Harry currently lives and works in Glastonbury, Somerset.
