Ian MacIntyre comes from Tummel Bridge in central Perthshire/Scotland. He studied painting at Edinburgh College of Art from 1976-81. His work is now part of several public collections including the City Art Centre Edinburgh and Perth Museum and Art Gallery. He paints and prints at his home in the East Neuk of Fife.
He was taught by Elizabeth Blackadder, John Huston, David Michie and Robin Philipson and has a first class hons. degree in painting. He won the PAF award in the Edinburgh RSA show a couple of years ago for one of his legendary large relief prints.
