John is a maker whose work continues to develop and change notwithstanding many years of making and teaching ceramics. Slab building is a long-established technique that contributes to the shaping of his vessels, as well as facilitating his artistic decoration. Born in Stoke-on-Trent he gained his ceramics degree at Wolverhampton College of Art and a teaching certificate at Sussex University. He has featured in many international exhibitions.
