Liz Vidal

Liz now lives and works in Bristol. Upon graduation from Manchester School of Art with 1st Class Hons in 2010, she undertook a one – year Apprenticeship at North Street Potters in London before joining the collective. Here she trained in production throwing, becoming involved in making a range of tableware for restaurants including Coya in Mayfair and Fera at Claridges. After working at ceramic studios in both Bali and Australia in 2015, She settled in Bristol where she now creates her full range of homewares.

She makes functional ceramics and unique one-off pieces using stoneware clay. Her pottery is made to be used and enjoyed. With a focus on utility, she aims to create very tactile forms which sit comfortably in the hand. The process of creating pots spans two to three weeks and differs with each season; the slightest change in temperature or humidity alters the rhythm of making.
