Vithushanan is a potter from the heart of Northern England. Born from an Immigrant working-class family, he learnt to understand and value the fundamentals of working hard. He wants to strive in sharing and passing on his values onto the next generation. He thinks that this is a responsibility of anyone that is in his field.
He values the fundamental basic skills of a potter and idolises the philosophies of David Pye, Richard Sennett and Peter Korn about the importance of craftsmanship. Teaching the culture and traditional values of a potter is his ambition and this is what he wants his work to be about; to show that traditional pottery can still thrive in the modern world.
