After Paul has finished making the piece he carefully re-throw’s the rim gradually making it finer until it begins to tear, each piece has it’s own unique quality. After the final firing it is sealed using a ceramic liquid quartz, this acts like a glaze without altering the beauty of the natural surface. The vessel is then waxed and polished leaving a beautiful natural sheen.
