Grey porcelain anthracite torn edge bowl

After Paul has finished making the piece he carefully re-throw’s the rim gradually making it finer until it begins to tear, each piece has it’s own unique quality. The bowl is then sliced apart and rejoined to create the seam running through it. After the final firing it is sealed using a ceramic liquid quartz, this acts like a glaze without altering the beauty of the natural surface. The vessel is then waxed and polished leaving a beautiful natural sheen.
